Chiropractic therapy is a different approach than most therapies. The main focus of chiropractic therapy is how musculoskeletal structure of the body affects the body, including the central nervous system. The goal when one sees a chiropractor is to diminish aches and pains and to allow the body to naturally heal disorders. The idea is that when a chiropractor manipulates areas of the body such as the muscles and spine, it will promote natural healing.

The main idea where chiropractors draw how chiropractic therapy can treat a vast array disorders is subluxation. Subluxation is the blockage of nerves pathway, which is caused by a poorly aligned spine, the nervous systems main highway so to speak. Even if subluxation does not cause pain or discomfort, it is considered a disorder in itself.

With this type of disorder, these medical experts believe that when the nerve bundles of the spinal column are interfered with, this interferes with nerve messages sent; in turn, this can literally affect every area of the body. Because the body needs a smoothly functioning nervous system in order to be healthy, those who practice chiropractic medicine believe that when subluxations occur, illness occurs, too.

FOOD AND MENSTRUAL PAIN

Nearly half of all women live with menstrual pain, and in up to 10 per cent it is severe enough to interfere with work and other activities for one to two days every month. Sometimes it diminishes after childbirth, but for many it continues.

Shortly before your period begins, the endometrial cells that form the lining of the uterus make large amounts of prostaglandins. When these cells break down during menstruation, prostaglandins are released. They constrict blood vessels in the uterus and make its muscle layer contract, causing painful cramps. Prostaglandins also enter the bloodstream, causing headache, nausea, vomiting, and diarrhoea.
