When a teenage starts an exercise program, the best thing to do is to work with a person who is trained to do the job safely and effectively so that there will be fast results.

Once involved in the sport of bodybuilding, many teen athletes will develop the dedication and discipline that is required to excel in any sport. Teenage bodybuilding also helps to improve confidence levels, self-esteem and work ethics.

The physical advantages that are there in teenage body building are increaded muscular strength and endurance, kinesthetic awareness increases, bones become stronger and it reduces the risk of weight related illnesses like high blood pressure and diebitese.

The mental and physical benefits of teenage bodybuilding will continue to payoff long after these athletes have matured into adults. As with most sports, bodybuilding gives teens a focus and it empowers them to better themselves through their own efforts.

Stunted growth has been a great concern of teenage bodybuilding. This theory has never been proven, plus if teenage bodybuilding is peformed correctly under adult guidance, injury chances are significantly less.

Bodybuilding has pros and cons for teenagers. The main thing to remember is you can get hurt with any sport. If a teenager has the right training and the right trainer, bodybuilding can be very beneficial physically and mentally. To do teen bodybuilding right, make sure you educate the athlete to make the risks very minimal.

So the question is, how is teen bodybuilding done right? Should teen bodybuilders read the latest bodybuilding magazines? Learn from their friends or from a professional? Train every day or every other day? Rely on supplements? Start when they are done growing or earlier? Focus on endurance training heavy lifting? Teen bodybuilding has dozens of questions and many different opinions on each.
